Justice delayed: 26/11 survivor demands death penalty for Tahawwur Rana, slams 'Jail and biryani' treatment

Maharashtra: After the 2008 terror attacks in Mumbai, many people are still angry about those attacks. A large number of innocent people were killed in these attacks and many accused have been arrested so far. One of them is Tahawwur Rana, a Pakistani-Canadian citizen who was involved in the conspiracy of the Mumbai attacks. Recently, Tahawwur Rana is being brought to India from America, but the anger of 26/11 hero Mohammad Taufiq has come to the fore.

26/11 hero Taufiq demands: 'No biryani and vantage, hang immediately'

Taufiq is the same man who saved dozens of lives during the 2008 terrorist attacks due to his vigilance. He is also in the discussion about his statement this time. Taufiq says that it is absolutely wrong to give jail, biryani and other facilities to terrorists like Rana. "India should enact a separate law for such terrorists so that they can be hanged at the earliest," he said.

Taufiq also said that there was no point in giving Rana a sale and biryani like Kasab. He is demanding from the Indian government that Rana should be hanged immediately. They say that there should be no comfort for such people as they are considered a big threat to the public.

Mention of Ajmal Kasab: Memories of another terrorist

Taufiq also referred to Pakistan-based terrorist Ajmal Kasab, who was captured alive during the 26/11 attacks. Kasab had unleashed bloodshed at places like Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus, Taj Hotel, Leopold Cafe and Cama Hospital in Mumbai. Kasab was hanged in Pune's Yerwada jail in 2012. Taufiq says that Rana should also be punished in the same way.

US court rejects Rana's plea

Another important news has come out about Rana's extradition to India. On April 7, the US Supreme Court rejected his application to stay his extradition to India. It is now almost certain that Rana will soon be extradited to India and will face trial there.

Mumbai Police has not yet been remanded in custody

However, according to the Mumbai Crime Branch, it has not yet been decided whether Rana will be brought to Mumbai and taken into custody for questioning. Sources in Mumbai Police said that they have not received any official information yet, but it is likely that Rana's custody will be given to Mumbai Police soon.

Tahawwur Rana: Another big terrorist

Tahawwur Rana, who is known to be an associate of Lashkar-e-Taiba, was convicted in the US for plotting the Mumbai attacks. More than 174 people were killed and thousands were injured in this attack. Rana was accused of providing financial support to Lashkar and was involved in the conspiracy of the attack.
